DENVER — The family of a 16-year-old girl found dead on Monday morning believes she was killed days earlier in a shooting that sent her boyfriend to the hospital.
Tayanna Manuel’s body was discovered Monday morning outside an apartment complex in the 4900 block of North Salida Street in Denver. That is near 60th Avenue and Pena Boulevard.

On the morning of Dec. 26, Denver Police tweeted they were conducting an outdoor death investigation near the 4900 block of N. Salida Street. Police said the victim, Tayanna Manuel, was a juvenile female and that her death was determined to be a homicide. They did not reveal her cause of death. COLUMBUS, Ohio (WJW) — As of Wednesday afternoon, authorities had not located 5-month-old Kason Thomass, the woman accused of abducting him and his twin on Monday, or the stolen vehicle she drove away. City detectives on Tuesday evening filed kidnapping charges against the suspect, 24-year-old Nalah Jackson, who is believed to have stolen the car belonging to the twins’ mother while her children were inside. A nationwide warrant was issued for her arrest.
