WHO WE ARE
HOOD 2 HERO'S advocates and mentors at-risk minority boys and young men between the ages of 10-24. The Hood 2 Hero's program is designed to reduce youth gang crime and violence. We are a team of survivor's and together with the help from the families, schools and community, today’s youth have a greater possibility of shifting their own futures to become self-sufficient leaders of tomorrow. Young people leaving juvenile justice residential placement face many concerns as they reenter the community, home, and school/work force.
We mentor young people who face obstacles our youth are forced to battle daily living in underserved communities. We mentor youth on a level of understanding the journey, we have lived the life and we understand the hood has the greatest heroes.
Hood 2 Heros brings together ex-gang members, police, mental health specialist and our neighborhoods to create positive outcomes to youth involved in the street life. We provide Intensive mentoring to troubled youth and their families with support, opportunities and resources.
No kid is left behind! We provide services to youth ages 10-24 to address risk factors that contribute to youth dropping out of school, engaging in violence, drugs and joining gangs.
